Music Festivals – need names for bar workers God’s Kitchen all nighter, Stratford 27th July extra places available, need to know immediately. Leeds festival 23rd-25th August (need to know by 18th July) and New Year Eve all-nighter, Alexandra Palace, by 6th November

The West Midland County Association of Trades Union Councils is planning a seminar 7.30pm till 9.30pm Wednesday 11 September 2002 in Birmingham City Council house. The theme will be the impact that 11 September 2001 had on the TUC campaigning priorities against privatisation and racism. There will be a local and national speaker on each issue followed by discussion.
Paris Trip 2002 – The details of the Paris trip to the Fete de l’Humanite are now available. This will take place between the Thursday 12th September and Monday 16th September 2002. You can obtain the brochure on their website or ring.

From House of Commons Library Research service- estimated annual tax payments 2000/1 indicate that that the poorest 20% of households pay 41% of income in direct and indirect taxes while the richest 20% of households pay 37% of their income. The other income groups pay between 35% and 39%.
