We took a coach down to London for the 12th April Demo Against War

Workers Memorial Day (28th April)
12th year now, speeches, service and 249 balloon release in Queens Square to commemorate all those killed while working last year.
We got TV, radio and press coverage and covered the costs by TU sponsorship of cards attached to the balloons, giving details of this year’s theme, Corporate Killing.

May Day Festival, 1st May
Despite last minute change of venue and election night, went well, attracting 200 people again. Jobs Not War theme for speakers & full entertainment programme. Radio and press coverage. Still £150 short on sponsorship this year. Next year will be 10th year and a Saturday so bigger event planned. Tony Benn possible speaker.
