Waspi Women’s Concessionary Travel Pass

65 and Still Waiting for your Bus Pass?

In most of England, entitlement to a bus pass rises with State Pension Age, currently about 65yrs 6months .
 
But West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) has introduced a Women’s Concessionary Pass, available now to women born between 6th March and 5th November 1954 who live in the WMCA area—Birmingham, Solihull, Coventry or the Black Country.

It provides free bus and tram travel within the same area after 9.30am ‘Monday to Friday and at any time on Saturday or Sunday. It is accepted on most bus services (but not Diamond buses) and on West Midlands Metro (but not on the train).
Passholders may also travel on buses before 9.30am Monday to Friday on payment of a flat single fare of £1.
