Wolverhampton, Bilston & District TUC       April  2010

Secretary's Report           info@wolvestuc.org.uk

Our anti-fascist Weekend of Action at the end of last month was highly successful; completely leafleting 4800 Wednesfield North homes by Sunday lunchtime.

Dudley – 1000+ UAF counter-demo against 'English Defence League' went off peacefully on our side. Fascists who were well away from us, and we never saw, did cause violence from their penned in car park on an industrial estate. Our demo stopped them marching.  We had previously called for EDL to be banned.  Dudley was completely shut down and many shop workers lost pay.

Wolverhampton Anti-fascist election timetable 2010:

we will be delivering primarily our own locally produced ward-specific literature. Our venues for leafleting will be announced at delegate meeting. Fascists standing in East Park, Bilston N, Bushbury N and Tettenhall Wightwick plus NE constituency.
