Tolpuddle weekend 14-16 July – TUC’s leaflet is in mailing more available if you need – ring.

An anti-BNP leaflet was designed for Wednesfield North Ward, calling for voters to come out and vote against the fascists – 44% turnout, 3rd highest numbers (and % turnout) voting in any ward, significantly higher than any other ward in the constituency.

WB&DTUC leafleted all the 4800 homes in ward in 3 sessions totalling less than 6 hours. Campaign needs to continue, not wait until next election.

Workers’ Memorial Day – just under 40 people attended the lunchtime event. Wreaths were laid by two TGWU branches, CYWU, CWU, UNISON, Midlands TUC, Wolverhampton TUC & Ken Purchase MP. Roger McKenzie spoke and delegates handed out leaflets to the public. Coverage on WM, Wolf & Beacon Radio.
