Saturday 12th April Demo Against War
coaches to London booked by WB&D TUC, boarding 8.30am leaving 8.45am
Faulkland Street Coach Park, Herbert St, Wolverhampton at A449/ring road north junction £10/£4 in advance

Wolverhampton Stop the War Coalition has been set up by WB&D TUC and is running as an ad hoc committee with 20+ attending planning meetings. They are being held presently each Monday 7.30pm, Newhampton Pub, upstairs, Whitmore reans. They are open to all supporters.

Anti-war activity – A 1000+ demo was called by WB&DTUC at the start of the war. Meetings and a teach-in are being held at the college and university.
Leafletting is taking place Queens Sq Wed 1-2pm, Sat 12-2pm
Following the successful die-in outside the Ex&Star and in front of the Army recruitment stall there will be another Sat 19 April meet Queens Square 11am

Monday 28th April Workers Memorial Day This year’s theme is Corporate Killing.
Speeches, service and balloon release will take place in Queens Square
 at 12-30pm – introduction from Sec WB&D TUC
 readings/service by the Industrial Chaplain, Rev Ian Houghton.
 short speeches from Simon Jones Campaign, TUs, MPs
 249 black and purple balloons will be released to commemorate
all those killed while working last year.
No wreath laying this year so why not SPONSOR A BALLOON £1 each (payable to “WB&D TUC”), tickets will be attached to each balloon with info on WMDay and the trade union sponsoring the balloon. Remember the Dead, Fight for the Living!

Thursday 1st May – May Day Festival,
Dunstall Hill Community Centre 7-10.30pm
speakers, live music, DJ, Indian dance display, menhdi, bouncy castle, stalls all free, except the bar.

PSC national rally, London 17 May coach booked ring to reserve seats £10/£4
