Holocaust Memorial Day, 27th January – co-sponsored by the City Council and Inter-Faith Group.
Good speakers and poetry written especially for the evening.
We were very pleased with the way it went and the positive outcome of future activity. About 40 people signed up to help with the anti-fascist election campaign work that is being planned. The Holocaust Memorial Day Statement of Commitment was signed by over 75 organisations and individuals with more coming in. We mounted an information display in the Civic Centre for 3 weeks. There was a response from the appeal to schools – poems from Kings school were displayed at the Civic and pictures from the Girls High at the Light House. We had coverage on Radio Wolf.
