Strikes: ASLEF held strikes 31 May and 3 June and RMT on 1 June, these were supported by several of our delegates
From EC – to be put to delegates: offer help to rmt/rmt cleaners/aslef in designing and printing a leaflet explaining what the continued strike action is about etc and offer to help them leaflet it to commuters on a non-strike day
At our last meeting, delegates agreed to put on a showing of “Oh Jeremy Corbyn – the big lie “ ia feature-length documentary produced by http://www.platformfilms.co.uk/
we are making arrangements currently for a Wolverhampton showing in mid-July.
In 2017, with the support of an extraordinary grass-roots movement, British Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn came close to becoming prime minister. The establishment trembled. Britain stood on the threshold of huge political change. But within three years all, it seemed, was lost. What happened and why? Produced by award-winning radical film-maker Platform Films, with contributions from Jackie Walker, Ken Loach, Andrew Murray, Graham Bash and Moshe Machover, and narrated by Alexei Sayle.
