The BNP failed to win the by-election they contested in East Valley, Stoke-on-Trent month. The full result was:
Lib Dem 525 votes (25.2%) Labour 496 (23.8%) BNP 464 (22.3%) Ind. 445 (21.4%) Con 150 (7.2%)
WB&DTUC Anti-Racist sub-Committee is due to meet with Black Country Unite Against Fascism to discuss local tactics. Stoke mayoral election is BNP’s main priority but also will put lot of effort into Black Country constituencies where they have got votes. They are also standing against Rob in Wolverhampton South West in the General election.
LGBT Wolverhampton Census – 2001 national census recorded just 234 same sex couples in w’ton. This exercise is trying to find real figure. Please inform union memberships. Forms available via: www.LGBTWolverhampton.org.uk
