NOVEMBER 2025 Report

Wolverhampton, Bilston & District TUC

Workers’ Memorial Day Stone – we’ve received notification from the council that the consultation has ended with no objections. The Council’s Estates Team will now conduct the next part of the process as a licence needs to be approved for the stone to be replaced; we’ve been in contact since the stone will need to be ordered this month.

20 October counter protest was called after last month’s delegate discussion on the far-right, when information came to light of another protest called by the same people, now known to be linked to the fascist group Britain First. A former-Tory now Reform activist was also prominent. Their biggest turnout 60 at peak with 50 of us. Started in Queen’s Square then we moved to Britannia hotel where they were planning to go. They directed abuse at us for a couple of hours in rain, migrants barely got a mention. Identified some there from Coventry, Brownhills, Stourbridge, Kingstanding and Dudley; many are going around to all the West Midlands protests as a rent-a-mob.
