TUC Midlands Equalities Conference TUC Midlands, 47 Summer Lane, Birmingham, B19 3TH Saturday 19 October 10.30 – 15.00 must register Join colleagues from across our movement and hear speakers from politics, equalities strands and more as we discuss issues such as no outsiders controversy, the Windrush scandal, equal rights, the rise of the far right, LGBT+ and much more. Tues 22 October 6-30-9pm, Cradley Heath – Friends of the Women Chainmakers present an evening with historian and author Cathy Hunt as she launches her wonderful new biography. Cathy uncovers the previously unreported history of the fascinating woman that was Mary Macarthur and her pivotal role in the improving the lives of British women. Cathy seeks to understand what motivated this extraordinary individual and why she chose the path that she did, particularly at a time when it was still far from common for a middle-class woman to appear on public platforms. There will be a chance to meet Cathy and to buy a copy signed by the author herself.

Birmingham TUC organised network event in the Region with the support of the Regional TUC has been postponed from 9th November to 14 March 2020, to be held at the TUC Offices, 47, Summer Lane, Birmingham B19 3TH commencing at 11.30am
