Four more days of widespread action involving all 115,000 CWU workers, have been organised; 24-hour walkouts, beginning 4am, on:
- Thursday 13 October
- Thursday 20 October
- Tuesday 25 October
- Monday 28 November
pickets at Wolverhampton’s NW Midlands Mail Centre at Sun St WV1A 1AA; supporters welcome at picket
further CWU strikes dates are as follows:
- Processing, distribution, international, collections and admin workers: Thursday 3, Wednesday 9, Tuesday 15, Thursday 24 November and Thursday 1 December
- Delivery workers: Friday 4, Thursday 10, Wednesday 16, Friday 25 November and Friday 2 December
- Network workers: Wednesday 2, Tuesday 8, Monday 14, Wednesday 23 and Wednesday 30 November
two day strike action was taken from 30 Sept. by CWU
Also 40,000 CWU members working for BT and Openreach, triggered by BT’s unilateral imposition of real-terms pay cuts for all CWU-represented grades will strike Thursday October 6th, Monday October 10th, Thursday October 20th and Monday October 24th.

RMT members will also walkout on 3rd, 5th and 7th November

RMT general secretary Mick Lynch said: “Avanti are one of the worst operators we have ever tried to negotiate with.”
RMT went on strike on 1st October and 8 October
RMT Cleaners picketed (23/9/22) at Oxley sidings depot on their 13th day of strike action in the last year, at the viaduct on Jones Rd off Stafford Rd, WV10 6JQ, after talks to improve their £9.90 night rate fell through.

The outsourced cleaners are paid £1/hr less than the Real Living Wage and have no company sick pay, meaning that they frequently come into work when sick because they cannot make ends meet.

ASLEF, the train drivers’ union took strike action on 1st October and 5 October as they have had no pay rise since 2019

53 days of tram strikes – UNITE members at West Midlands Metro go on strike for the first time.

The proposed strike days are:
- October: 15, 19, 20, 22, 24, 26, 29 and 31
- November: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 10, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 29 and 30
- December: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 15, 17, 18, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 and 31
- January 2023: 1, 2 and 5
