The recent General Election showed us that the use of social media as a campaigning tool is now more effective than campaigning via the printed press and with only 14% of people now trusting advertising the role of social media is more important than ever for the TUC, its affiliates and for our future.
In light of that we have accessed the services of one of the UK’s leading communications experts to deliver a workshop called The Social Media Masterclass. Those attending will learn how to improve communication through social media, which writing skills and tone of voice is needed to be used to best engage your audience and how the use of plain English is key to success.
Ashley Riley, CWU member and the Managing Director of Ashley Riley Communications will deliver a trade union focused workshop that looks at the theory of why social media works and will give practical and easy to use tips and advice on what works. Including video postings, practical support on delivering social media through facebook, twitter, linkedin and Instagram.
The question is no longer should we be using social media, the question now is how best we use social media.
