Wolverhampton UCU is in formal dispute with management over the current course closures and staff redundancies.
138+ courses have been suspended and many already closed and up to 500 job cuts were initially threatened, around 20% of all the university jobs, now being quoted as 250.
The cuts centre around the Arts faculty with sites in Wolverhampton and Walsall. Wolverhampton UCU has had messages of solidarity and support from many UCU branches and other trade union organisations:
UCU is the trade union for academics, lecturers, trainers, researchers and academic-related staff working at the University of Wolverhampton. https://wlv.web.ucu.org.uk/category/news/
