Campaign Against the Arms Trade

Stop the arms fair in Telford Thursday 2 November DAY OF ACTION

Telford will be playing host to the SDSC Arms Fair in November. This arms fair (then called 3CDSE) was chased out of Malvern by strong protests by a coalition of groups from Quakers, CAAT, XR, STWC and others.

It focuses on equipment for special forces soldiers, and has in previous years involved arms companies like BAE Systems, Lockheed Martin, Leonardo, and Elbit Systems.

Join the resistance by contacting stopsdsc@gmail.com

join at any point during the day for as long or as briefly as you are able.

We’re also interested in making the presence as vibrant as possible, so speakers and performers would be very welcome.

It is with regret that delegates learnt of the death of Caroline Crolley on 25th July. She had been a UNITE full time official for the last 31 years, who was based in the Wolverhampton office and part of UNITE WM6150 branch.

We had worked with her on Workers’ Memorial Day and the White Ribbon Domestic violence campaign and many delegates had been lucky enough to work with her in the TGWU, Amicus and UNITE paid tribute to her at our last meeting.
