Proposals deriving from  4,000+ People’s Assembly meeting in London:

a)   local People’s Assemblies to be established in every area possible;

b)  co-ordinated organisation of local coaches to Sunday Sept 29th Sept demo in support of NHS at the Tory conference in Manchester

c)   a day of civil disobedience on 5 November in every town and city across the country;

d)  a national demonstration in London in the new year

A meeting there of West Midlands delegates present agreed to a meeting of Executive Committee members of Wolverhampton & Bilston, Dudley, Walsall and Sandwell trades union councils to look at co-ordinating a Black Country Peoples’ Assembly meeting/activity on July 15th.

We have teams of volunteers working at Leeds and Latitude festival raising money for us this summer. Over £900 was raised by our volunteers at Glastonbury

Last month’s speaker Jefny Ashcroft, has now registered our joint project recognising Conscientious Objectors within the WW1 commemorations.
